  35. No.  Joe is saying that Kermit protocol has lots of features that may
  36. be implemented in different ways providing different capabilities.
  37. The HP calculators in particular having varying implementations each
  38. which provide a different level of performance.  In most cases the
  39. calculators are limited to 90 character packets and require an ACK
  40. for each packet as it is sent because the flow control either is not
  41. implemented at all or is done very poorly.  This has little to do with
  42. the strengths or weaknesses of the Kermit protocol but on the design 
  43. of the calculator.
